What is the goal of our program?
Confronting Religious Violence is a two-day conference bringing together scholars of Islam and Christianity, theologians, historians and specialists in conflict resolution to better understand the historical, religious, and cultural environment that has led to the rise of religious violence in Syria and Iraq.
The primary goal of this conference is to increase knowledge of the various factors that have shaped the crisis in Iraq and Syria; and to formulate an inter-religious theological response to the religious violence in the region.
