The Confronting Religious Violence Conference will bring together theologians, scholars of Islam and Christianity, historians and specialists in conflict resolution to better understand the historical , religious, and cultural environment that has led to the rise of ISIS. We propose looking at the religious violence in Syria and Iraq in order to contribute to humanitarian, policy strategy and religious organizations supporting displaced persons and refugees.
